Café Lafitte in Exile...
901 Bourbon Street
New Orleans, LA 70116
Hours: Open 24/7
After moving to its present location in 1954, Cafe LaFitte in Exile is one of (if not the) oldest gay bars in the United States.
Several notable spirits haunt the two-story establishment. Both playwright Tennessee Williams and author Truman Capote are occasionally spotted on the first floow while a former patron also makes his presence known. Figures have been witnessed on the balcony before disappearing into thin air.
